So, what is écorce de grenade?
Écorce de grenade, or pomegranate peel, is a flavorful and nutrient-dense ingredient that is commonly used in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. This tart and slightly bitter peel is packed with antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin C, making it a healthy addition to many dishes. It can be ground into a powder and used as a spice, or steeped in hot water to make a tea. In traditional medicine, écorce de grenade is believed to have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, and may even help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
