So, what is eritrosina?
Eritrosina, also known as Red 3, is a synthetic food dye commonly used to give a bright red color to various food products. It is often used in baked goods, candies, and beverages, as well as in some medications and cosmetics. Eritrosina is water-soluble and heat-stable, making it an ideal choice for many applications. However, some studies have linked this food dye to potential health risks, including cancer and hyperactivity in children. As a result, eritrosina has been banned or restricted in some countries, while others continue to allow its use in limited amounts.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
