So, what is noix de müscade?
Noix de muscade, also known as nutmeg, is a popular spice that originates from the nutmeg tree, native to the Indonesian Moluccas Islands. The nutmeg itself is a small, oval-shaped seed that is dried and ground into a fine powder. It has a warm, sweet, and slightly nutty flavor, with hints of cinnamon and clove. Noix de muscade is often used in both sweet and savory dishes, such as baked goods, custards, sauces, and soups. In addition to its culinary uses, noix de muscade has also been used for medicinal purposes, such as aiding digestion, reducing inflammation, and promoting relaxation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
