So, what is estrone?
Estrone is a naturally occurring hormone found in the human body and a type of estrogen that plays a crucial role in regulating the reproductive system. It is also found in some foods, such as milk, and is used in hormone replacement therapy. Estrone has been linked to various health conditions, including breast cancer and osteoporosis, and its levels can fluctuate throughout a person's life, particularly during menopause. As an ingredient, estrone is used in research to investigate its effects on the human body, but is not commonly used in food production or culinary applications.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
