So, what is farine'de blé?
Farine de blé, also known as wheat flour, is a versatile and essential ingredient in many culinary creations. Made by milling the endosperm of wheat kernels, it is commonly used in baking bread, cakes, pastries, and other baked goods. With a fine, powdery texture and neutral taste, wheat flour serves as a binding agent and thickener in recipes. It also contains gluten, which gives bread its elasticity and structure. Farine de blé can come in various types, including all-purpose, whole wheat, and pastry flour, each with unique protein levels and uses.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
