So, what is ferment lactique?
Ferment lactique, also known as lactic acid bacteria, is a naturally occurring microorganism that is commonly used in the production of fermented foods. This type of bacteria converts lactose into lactic acid, which gives fermented foods their characteristic tangy flavor and texture. Ferment lactique is often found in dairy products such as yogurt, cheese, and kefir, as well as in pickles, sauerkraut, and kimchi. Besides its contribution to flavor, ferment lactique has been associated with various health benefits, including improved digestion, enhanced immune function, and reduced risk of certain diseases.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
