So, what is folsav?
Folsav, also known as folic acid or vitamin B9, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a vital role in the synthesis and repair of DNA, cell growth, and red blood cell formation. This essential nutrient is particularly important for pregnant women as it helps prevent birth defects and supports the healthy development of the fetus. Folsav can be found naturally in leafy green vegetables, fruits, beans, and fortified grains. In supplement form, folsav is commonly taken to prevent or treat folate deficiency and related health conditions such as anemia and certain cancers.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
