So, what is fosfati di sodio?
Fosfati di sodio, or sodium phosphates, are a group of salts commonly used in food production as an additive. They play several roles, including as a pH adjuster, a stabilizer, and a texture enhancer. Sodium phosphates can be found in a wide range of food products, from canned meats and seafood to cheese and bakery goods. They are also used in some sports drinks to help maintain electrolyte balance in the body. However, excessive consumption of sodium phosphates may have negative health effects, such as increased risk of kidney disease and high blood pressure.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
