So, what is fromage édam?

Fromage Edam is a semi-hard, Dutch cheese that boasts a distinctive flavor and texture. Made from cow's milk, it has a pale yellow interior and a smooth, waxy rind. The cheese is aged for several months, during which time its flavors deepen and become more complex. Edam has a nutty, slightly sweet taste with hints of caramel and a subtle tanginess that makes it a versatile ingredient in a wide range of dishes. Its firm texture and mild flavor make it perfect for slicing or grating, making it an ideal addition to salads, sandwiches, or as a delicious snack on its own.
