So, what is glucose-sirup?

Glucose syrup is a sweet, thick, and viscous liquid made from corn starch that has been hydrolyzed with enzymes. It is a versatile ingredient used in a wide range of food products as a sweetener, thickener, and texturizer. The syrup is composed of glucose molecules, which are easily absorbed by the body and provide a quick source of energy. Its high viscosity and hygroscopic properties make it ideal for use in confectionery, bakery, and other processed foods. Glucose syrup is available in a range of grades, from highly purified for use in infant formula to darker varieties used in candy making.
