So, what is glükoosisiirup?
Glükoosisiirup, also known as glucose syrup, is a sweetening ingredient commonly used in food production. It is made by breaking down starches, such as corn or wheat, into smaller molecules using enzymes. The resulting syrup is thick, clear, and has a high sugar content. Glükoosisiirup is often used in baking, confectionery, and as a sweetener in processed foods. It can also improve the texture and shelf life of certain products. However, due to its high glycemic index and calorie content, it should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
