So, what is glutamáte monosodique?
Glutamáte monosodique, also known as monosodium glutamate (MSG), is a flavor enhancer commonly used in Asian cuisine and processed foods. It is a sodium salt of glutamic acid, a non-essential amino acid that occurs naturally in many foods such as tomatoes, cheese, and mushrooms. MSG is a white crystalline powder with a savory, umami taste that stimulates the taste buds and enhances the overall flavor of dishes. While some people may experience sensitivity to MSG, it is generally considered safe in small amounts and can be found in a variety of products from soups and snacks to sauces and seasonings.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
