So, what is glycol?
Glycol, also known as ethylene glycol, is a colorless, odorless, and sweet-tasting organic compound commonly used as an antifreeze in various applications. It has a low freezing point and high boiling point, making it effective at preventing the formation of ice and frost in cooling systems, refrigerators, and air conditioners. Glycol is also used in the production of plastics, polyester resins, and solvents. However, it can be toxic if ingested and can cause serious health problems, including kidney failure and death, so it should be handled with care and kept away from children and pets.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
