So, what is gros sel marin?
Gros sel marin, also known as coarse sea salt, is a type of natural sea salt that is minimally processed and unrefined. Harvested from saltwater evaporation ponds or by traditional hand-harvesting methods, gros sel marin retains its natural mineral content and imparts a distinct flavor to food. Its large, irregular crystals make it ideal for finishing dishes, providing a satisfying crunch and burst of saltiness. Unlike table salt, which can be heavily processed and stripped of minerals, gros sel marin is a healthier alternative that adds depth and complexity to any dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
