So, what is guindilla?
Guindilla is a Spanish word that refers to a small, thin chili pepper commonly used in Basque cuisine. These peppers are long and narrow, typically measuring between 2-3 inches in length, and are typically bright green or yellow in color. Guindillas are known for their moderate heat level and distinctive flavor, which is both slightly sweet and tangy with a hint of smokiness. They can be used to add a spicy kick to a wide range of dishes, including stews, soups, and roasted meats, and are a popular ingredient in many traditional Basque recipes. Guindillas are also commonly pickled and served as a condiment, adding a burst of flavor to sandwiches, salads, and other dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
