So, what is hamburg parsley?
Hamburg parsley, also known as root parsley or turnip-rooted parsley, is a lesser-known yet flavorful ingredient that is a close relative of the common parsley we all know. Unlike its more popular counterpart, hamburg parsley is grown for its root, which has a creamy white color, a delicate texture, and a slightly sweet, earthy flavor that resembles a cross between parsnip and carrot. The root is often used in soups, stews, and casseroles, but can also be roasted, mashed, or fried as a delicious and nutritious side dish. Not only does hamburg parsley add depth and complexity to dishes, but it also provides a wealth of health benefits, including high levels of vitamin C, potassium, and fiber.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
