So, what is hvedesirup?
Hvedesirup, also known as wheat syrup, is a versatile food ingredient that's made from organic wheat starch. It has a light brown color and a sweet, malty taste that makes it an excellent substitute for sugar or corn syrup in recipes. Hvedesirup is commonly used in the production of baked goods, confectionery, and beverages. Being a natural sweetener, it's high in glucose and fructose that gives an energy boost to the body. Additionally, hvedesirup has a low glycemic index, which means it won't cause sudden spikes in blood sugar levels.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
