So, what is idrossido di potassio?
Idrossido di potassio is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula KOH. It is commonly known as potassium hydroxide and is used primarily in the manufacturing of various potassium compounds, soaps, and detergents. This colorless solid is highly soluble in water and has a strong alkaline taste. Due to its caustic and reactive nature, it is also used as a laboratory reagent and as a catalyst for organic transformations. In the food industry, potassium hydroxide is used as an acidity regulator and as a processing aid for some edible oils and fats.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
