So, what is iodure dé sodium?
Iodure de sodium, also known as sodium iodide, is a chemical compound that consists of sodium and iodine. It is commonly used as a source of iodine, an essential mineral that is necessary for the proper functioning of the thyroid gland. Sodium iodide is a white, odorless, and crystalline solid that is highly soluble in water. It is often used in the production of pharmaceuticals, as a contrast agent in medical imaging, and as a radiation protective agent in nuclear medicine. Sodium iodide can also be found in some foods, such as seafood and seaweed, and is sometimes added to table salt to prevent iodine deficiency.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
