So, what is jamon?

Jamon is a Spanish cured ham that is renowned for its rich and savory flavor. It is made from high-quality pork that is salted, cured, and aged for a minimum of 12 months to develop its distinctive taste and texture. The curing process involves hanging the meat in a cool, dry place and applying a mixture of salt and spices, such as paprika or garlic, to enhance its flavor. Jamon's unique taste is often described as nutty, slightly sweet, and with a delicate smoky note. It is a versatile ingredient that can be enjoyed on its own, sliced thinly as a tapa, or used in a variety of dishes, such as soups, stews, and sandwiches.
