So, what is kaakaopapu?
Kaakaopapu, also known as cocoa bean, is the seed of the cacao tree, native to Central and South America. These small, oval-shaped beans have a hard, dark brown outer shell and are packed with intense chocolate flavor. After harvesting, the beans are fermented to develop their distinct taste and roasted to bring out their aroma. The resulting nibs are then ground into a paste, which can be used to make chocolate products such as bars, truffles, and cakes. Kaakaopapu is a versatile ingredient with a rich, complex flavor profile that adds depth and richness to any recipe.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
