So, what is kardemomme?
Kardemomme, also known as cardamom, is a spice that comes from the seeds of several plants in the ginger family. This flavorful ingredient has a distinct aroma and a warm, slightly sweet taste that makes it a popular addition to many dishes, from curries and stews to baked goods and coffee. Kardemomme is commonly used in Scandinavian cuisine, where it is used to flavor sweet pastries and desserts, as well as savory dishes like meatballs and soups. It is also believed to have medicinal properties, and is used in traditional medicine to treat digestive issues, inflammation, and respiratory ailments.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
