So, what is kervel?
Kervel, also known as French parsley, is a delicate herb with a subtle aniseed flavour that is commonly used in French cuisine. It has feathery, fern-like leaves that are dark green in colour and can grow up to 30cm tall. Kervel is typically used to flavour soups, sauces, and egg dishes, and pairs well with fish and poultry. It is also believed to have medicinal properties, and has been used in traditional medicine to treat a range of ailments, from coughs and colds to digestive issues. Kervel is a seasonal herb that is available in the spring and early summer months, and is best used fresh.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
