So, what is kovetettu palmurasva?
Kovetettu palmurasva, also known as hardened palm oil, is a versatile food ingredient that has been processed to improve its stability and shelf life. It is derived from the fruit of the oil palm tree and undergoes a hydrogenation process to solidify the oil. With its high melting point, kovetettu palmurasva is an excellent substitute for butter or margarine in baking and frying applications. This ingredient also contains a moderate level of saturated fats, making it an ideal ingredient for producing stable and long-lasting food products.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
