So, what is laktase?
Laktase is an enzyme that helps break down lactose, the natural sugar found in milk and other dairy products, into simpler sugars that can be easily digested by people who are lactose intolerant. Laktase is naturally produced in the small intestine of newborn babies, but many people lose the ability to produce it as they grow older, leading to lactose intolerance. Laktase is commonly used as a dietary supplement to help people with lactose intolerance digest dairy products without experiencing uncomfortable symptoms such as bloating, gas, and diarrhea. Laktase supplements are available in various forms, including capsules, tablets, and drops, and can be found in health food stores and online.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
