So, what is lé maltodextrine?
Lé maltodextrine is a versatile food ingredient that is derived from starch, commonly corn or wheat. It is a white, odorless, and slightly sweet powder that is often used as a thickener, filler, or stabilizer in food and beverage products. Lé maltodextrine is made by breaking down larger starch molecules into smaller ones through hydrolysis, which results in a highly soluble powder with a low glycemic index. Due to its ability to enhance texture, mouthfeel, and shelf life, lé maltodextrine is commonly found in a wide range of food products, including sports drinks, infant formula, and baked goods.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
