So, what is levadura inactiva?
Levadura inactiva is a food ingredient that is commonly used as a flavor enhancer and a source of nutrients. It is derived from yeast, which has been deactivated through a process of heating or drying. This product has a light color and a powdery texture, and it contains high levels of protein, fiber, and B-complex vitamins. Levadura inactiva is popular among vegans and vegetarians because it provides an excellent source of umami flavor and can be used as a substitute for cheese in many recipes. Additionally, it is often added to baked goods to improve their texture and rise.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
