So, what is lupinen?
Lupinen, also known as lupin beans, are a versatile and nutritious food ingredient with a unique nutty flavor. They are a member of the legume family and are native to the Mediterranean region but are now grown in many parts of the world. Lupinen are high in protein, dietary fiber, and antioxidants, making them a great addition to a healthy diet. They are also gluten-free and low in fat, making them an excellent substitute for wheat flour in baking. Lupinen can be found in many different forms, including flour, flakes, and whole beans, and can be used in a variety of dishes, from salads and stews to bread and pasta.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
