So, what is sirop de glucose de?
Sirop de glucose is a colorless and odorless sweetener derived from corn starch or wheat. It is made by breaking down the starch into simpler sugars, primarily glucose, through hydrolysis. This process results in a thick syrupy liquid that is commonly used in the food industry as a sweetener, thickener, and stabilizer. Sirop de glucose is often used in the production of candy, baked goods, ice cream, and other processed foods to enhance flavor, texture, and shelf life. It is also used in the production of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and industrial products. Due to its high sugar content, sirop de glucose should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
