So, what is reisöl?
Reisöl, also known as rice oil, is a vegetable oil extracted from rice bran. It is a popular cooking oil in Asian countries, especially Japan and China, and is known for its high smoke point and mild flavor. Rich in antioxidants, vitamin E, and fatty acids, reisöl is a healthy alternative to other vegetable oils. Its light texture and neutral taste make it ideal for frying, baking, and stir-frying. Due to its high stability and resistance to oxidation, reisöl has a longer shelf life than other oils. Additionally, it is a sustainable option as it is made from a by-product of rice processing.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
