So, what is maca?
Maca is a root vegetable that belongs to the Brassicaceae family, native to the Andean mountains of Peru. It has been used for centuries in traditional medicine as a natural energy booster, aphrodisiac, and hormone regulator. Maca is a good source of carbohydrates, fiber, and protein, as well as several essential vitamins and minerals. It comes in powder form and has a nutty, slightly sweet taste that makes it a popular addition to smoothies, oatmeal, and baked goods. Maca is also believed to have adaptogenic properties, which means it helps the body cope with stress and maintain homeostasis.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
