So, what is macrotyloma geocarpum?
Macrotyloma geocarpum, commonly known as "Horse gram," is a legume that has been cultivated for centuries in various parts of the world, including India, Africa, and Southeast Asia. It is a hardy plant that can thrive in dry and arid conditions, making it an important crop in regions with low rainfall. The seeds are small and dark brown, with a nutty flavor, and are used in traditional dishes such as soups, stews, and salads. Horse gram is also believed to have several medicinal properties and is used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and kidney stones.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
