So, what is melkzuurbacteriën?
Melkzuurbacteriën, also known as lactic acid bacteria, are a group of bacteria commonly found in dairy products, fermented foods, and the human gut. These microorganisms play a crucial role in the production of cheese, yogurt, and other dairy products by fermenting lactose and producing lactic acid. In addition, they are known for their beneficial effects on human health, including the ability to support a healthy gut microbiome, improve digestion, and boost the immune system. Melkzuurbacteriën are also used as probiotics, supplements that can help restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
