So, what is milkfat?
Milkfat is the fatty component of milk, derived from the cream that rises to the top of fresh, raw milk. It's a natural emulsion of triglycerides, phospholipids, and other lipids. Milkfat is valued for its rich, creamy texture and characteristic flavor, which can enhance many foods. It's often used in the production of butter, ice cream, cheese, and other dairy products. As a source of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, milkfat plays a role in a balanced diet, but it should be consumed in moderation, as excessive intake may cause obesity and related health problems.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
