So, what is myristate acid?
Myristic acid is a saturated fatty acid that occurs naturally in many foods, such as coconut oil, palm kernel oil, and butterfat. It is also used as a food ingredient in various processed foods as a flavoring agent and emulsifier. Myristic acid has a slightly waxy texture and is solid at room temperature. It has been linked to numerous health benefits, including improving brain function, reducing inflammation, and lowering cholesterol levels. However, excessive consumption may lead to negative health effects, such as weight gain and increased risk of heart disease.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
