So, what is nitrato de potássio?
Nitrato de potássio, also known as potassium nitrate, is a water-soluble salt commonly used in food preservation and fertilizer production. This crystalline compound has a variety of applications due to its ability to release oxygen and enhance the flavor and shelf life of certain foods. Its chemical formula is KNO3, and it can be found in nature or synthesized through various industrial processes. While safe for consumption in small amounts, excessive intake of nitrato de potássio can have adverse health effects, making accurate measurement crucial in food preparation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
