So, what is orge?
Orge, also known as barley, is a versatile and nutritious cereal grain that has been cultivated for thousands of years. It is a member of the grass family and is typically used as a primary ingredient in various types of bread, soups, stews, and beer. This nutrient-dense grain is an excellent source of fiber, protein, and essential minerals such as selenium, phosphorus, and magnesium. Orge has a slightly nutty flavor and a chewy texture that makes it a great addition to salads and pilafs. It is also used in the production of malt, which is an essential ingredient in many types of beverages.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
