So, what is peper?
Peper, also known as long pepper, is a lesser-known spice that's closely related to black pepper. It has a more complex and earthy flavor, with hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Unlike black pepper, peper is a bit sweeter and less pungent, making it a perfect addition to sweet and savory dishes alike. Peper has been used for thousands of years in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for its various health benefits, including its anti-inflammatory and digestive properties. This versatile spice can be ground or grated and added to dishes like stews, soups, and curries, or used to flavor desserts and baked goods.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
