So, what is petrolium jelly?
Petroleum jelly, also known as petrolatum, is a semi-solid mixture of hydrocarbons derived from petroleum. It is an odorless, tasteless and colorless substance with a smooth and greasy texture that makes it a popular ingredient in various skincare and cosmetic products. Petroleum jelly forms a protective barrier on the skin, preventing moisture loss and promoting skin hydration. It can also be used as a lubricant and as a remedy for minor skin irritations such as chapped lips and dry skin. While it is generally considered safe for use, some people may experience allergic reactions or skin irritation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
