So, what is piment chili?

Piment chili, also known as bird's eye chili or Thai chili, is a small and fiery pepper that is commonly used in Southeast Asian cuisine. These bright red or green peppers pack a powerful punch, with a Scoville rating that can range from 50,000 to 100,000 units. Despite their heat, piment chili peppers also have a slightly sweet and fruity flavor, making them a versatile ingredient in dishes like curries, stir-fries, and salsas. They are high in vitamin C and capsaicin, a compound that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. Just a small amount of piment chili can add a big burst of flavor to any meal.
