So, what is polyester?
Polyester is a synthetic polymer derived from petroleum. It is widely used in the textile industry due to its durability, wrinkle resistance, and low cost. Polyester fibers are commonly blended with natural fibers such as cotton to improve their strength and elasticity. In addition to textiles, polyester is also used in the production of packaging materials, films, and insulation. Despite being a man-made material, polyester is considered environmentally friendly as it can be recycled and has a low carbon footprint compared to other synthetic materials.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
