So, what is polyvinylalkohol?

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is a water-soluble synthetic polymer derived from the polymerization of vinyl acetate. It is commonly used as a coating, adhesive, and thickener in various industries including textiles, paper, and pharmaceuticals. PVA has excellent film-forming properties, making it popular as a packaging material for food products. It is also a key ingredient in the production of water-soluble laundry bags, which dissolve during the washing process. Despite its synthetic origin, PVA is non-toxic and biodegradable, making it an eco-friendly option in certain applications.
