So, what is propionato cálcico?

Propionato cálcico, also known as calcium propionate, is a white crystalline substance that is commonly used as a food preservative. It is the calcium salt of propionic acid, a naturally occurring organic acid. Calcium propionate helps to inhibit the growth of mold and bacteria in bread, baked goods, and other food products, extending their shelf life and keeping them fresh for longer. It is generally recognized as safe by the FDA and is an approved food additive in many countries. Calcium propionate is also used in animal feed as a mold inhibitor and to promote growth in livestock.
