So, what is retinylpalmitat?
Retinyl palmitate is a type of vitamin A that is commonly used as a food additive and nutritional supplement. It is a combination of retinol (the active form of vitamin A) and palmitic acid, a saturated fatty acid. Retinyl palmitate is often added to foods such as dairy products, cereals, and baked goods to increase their nutritional value. It is also used in skin care products due to its ability to improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, caution is advised when using products containing retinyl palmitate as high doses can be toxic.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
