So, what is rocoto pepper?
Rocoto pepper is a fiery hot chili commonly found in South America, particularly in Peru. It has a distinct wrinkled skin and thick flesh, with a flavor that's both fruity and smoky. The heat level of rocoto peppers can vary greatly, but they are generally spicier than jalapeños or serranos. These peppers are often used in Peruvian cuisine to add a bold kick to dishes like ceviche and stews. They can also be stuffed and baked for a delicious appetizer or snack. Despite their intense heat, rocoto peppers are highly nutritious and contain vitamins A and C.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
