So, what is saccharine de sodium?

Sodium saccharin, commonly known as saccharine de sodium, is a calorie-free artificial sweetener used to enhance the taste of food and beverages. It is derived from benzoic sulfimide and is approximately 300 times sweeter than sugar, making it an ideal substitute for individuals who are looking to reduce their sugar intake. Unlike other artificial sweeteners, sodium saccharin has a prolonged sweetness that does not break down when heated, making it suitable for use in baked goods and other cooked foods. However, excessive consumption of sodium saccharin has been linked to certain health risks, including bladder cancer and digestive issues.
