So, what is schwarze karotten?
Schwarze Karotten, also known as black carrots, are a lesser-known variety of the classic vegetable. What sets them apart is their deep purple-black hue, which comes from the presence of anthocyanins, powerful antioxidants that have been linked to various health benefits. These carrots have a slightly sweeter taste than regular orange carrots and can be used in a variety of dishes, both raw and cooked. They add an exotic touch to salads, stir-fries, soups, and stews, and can be roasted or grilled for a unique side dish. Schwarze karotten are also an excellent source of fiber, vitamin A, and potassium.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
