So, what is lichis?
Lichis, also known as lychees, are small, oval-shaped fruits with a tough, textured outer skin that is reddish-brown in color. The inside of the fruit is soft, juicy, and translucent white, with a sweet and slightly tart flavor. Native to China, lichis are now grown in many subtropical regions around the world, including India, Thailand, and South Africa. They are often used in desserts, such as fruit salads and ice creams, but can also be eaten fresh or dried. Lichis are a good source of vitamin C and antioxidants, and their unique flavor and texture make them a popular ingredient in many cuisines.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
