So, what is sitron?
Sitron is a Norwegian word for lemon. This citrus fruit is the size of a small orange, has a bright yellow skin and a juicy, acidic pulp. Lemons are a versatile ingredient used in sweet and savory dishes alike. They add a tangy flavor to desserts, sauces, marinades, and dressings. Lemon juice is also a natural preservative and can be used to prevent fruits and vegetables from browning. In addition to their culinary uses, lemons are a rich source of vitamin C and antioxidants, which are important for maintaining good health.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
