So, what is sulfate cuprique?
Sulfate cuprique, also known as copper sulfate, is a chemical compound composed of copper, sulfur, and oxygen. It is often used as a food additive due to its antimicrobial and preservative properties. Copper sulfate is also utilized in agriculture as a pesticide and fungicide. However, excessive consumption can be toxic, causing nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. It is important to note that sulfate cuprique is only safe for consumption in small quantities and should not be ingested in large amounts. As with all food additives, it is recommended to read labels and consume in moderation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
